One of the few highly advanced alien races currently known to mankind. Relations to the Gigateuth' have always been very limited. They are technologically highly advanced and thereas show little interest in humanity beyond a purely scientific curiosity.
They are a nautic race and it is assumed that they travel through space in vessels completely filled with water resulting in optimal productivity in a zero-g environment beyond anything humans could achieve. Noone has ever seen their homeworld, it is known however that because of their robust nature they have a much wider choice of locations suited for colonizing space then the human race, as many objects in space have been discovered to have underground seas or liquid cores.
Beyond that they are known to have learned to dwell into gaseous atmospheres, using mechanical devices to move and even communicate with other races.
Rumors say that their occasional interest in human beings is based on the fact that human meat is seen as delicacy among their kind, there is no solid basis for those claims though.

You can purchase the avatar in the sim, as always.

I found this so ironical that I really couldn't help but mention it.
While all of you are still coming to Necronom VI, hoping to experience a fraction of life in space, that will soon be completely outdated, when human beings from space will be logging into Second Life to experience a fracture of life down on earth.
I'm sure the established connection will allow extraterrestrial life to log into SL as well, so all those aliens who always wanted to try a life as human will finally get that chance, provided the identity-validation doesn't blow their cover.

Here's a short preview of a new alien race that will be introduced shortly. Originally it was going to be just a head, but in the end it turned out a lot more then I had planned. I hope to finish it within the next few days and wih that also a few other additions to the store that might come in handy.

The move has progressed very well, I'd like to thank everyone again and apologize for the inconvenience. Over the course of today I have been taking some random screenshots of visitors throughout the station, which I think I will keep doing in the future, as visitors continue to surprise with extremly creative and interesting outfits.

The big move

As some of you already know, once again the station will have to move to a different sim.
You may wonder why and I'll gladly explain. You may have noticed the sim crashing on quite a regular basis. After a very long time of investigation it appears that this is not an issue that can be resolved easily, Second Life is quite a mess and a complete lack of any control over the server as there are no logs available, no tools to investigate and absoluetly no support from linden labs surely isn't making life any easier.
As this is an issue that causes constant trouble to the business of the simowner, she has generously provided us with a calmer place, where all the trouble the station causes can be sorted out slowly. All of this has costed a tremendous amount of work and patience and because of it I have not been able to advance the station nearly as quickly as I would have liked. Nevertheless you can expect a couple of new additions to the new location. First and foremost, a new spaceship will be accessible, you can read all the details about it in the post below. Second a few areas have gotten more polish, most notably the laboratory, which finally has a second floor and a handfull of brandnew devies for your use.
Another new addition is that the whole station is now fully windlight optimized. I realize that most people will not see the change until the new features are added to the regular SL client, however, maybe it is a small motivation for some of you to give it a try.

This move is as always in SL a very dangerous step and I really hope that it will not end in a disaster. If you'd like to support the station in any way, all you have to do is to add the new location in your picks. That would be very important for the survival of the place and greatly apriciated. To get to there you just have to click here or view it here.

Tecora Class Freighter

Welcome to a little sneak peak of a new area of the station that will be introduced shortly.

Small and agile, the characteristics of this old freigther model are quickly summarized. For normal space trade however the ships quickly became outdated due to their wastefull and unstable energy consumption. For the long deep space trips slow but stable ships have taken their place. But while the tecora class freighter should be long forgotten it has found a renaissance in recent days and is an ideal vehicle for smugglers, who need small and fast ships to quickly pass through unexpected situations and outmaneuver patrol ships. Especially slave traders have costumized this freighter for their use, even though the high energy consumption of hibernation chambers combined with the increased fuel consumption during surprising spacial phenomena like plasma winds often force the traders to drop cargo into space, its agility is still unrivaled and allows it to quickly slip into any colony.

Welcome to the official blog of space colony Necronom VI. Starting today, I will use this place to post about news and updates, as the faulty technology of Second Life itself is hardly capable of doing so.
I do feel that there is a lot to talk about, since I'm getting questions, feedback and requests all the time. Rest assured that even if it might seem like I'm hardly ever around, I've been working very hard to keep the place and improve it in the coming weeks.
I'll be posting about it here as soon as possible, so be a bit patient and enjoy yourselves in the meantime.
